Chris completed his Podiatry degree in 1986. He gained experience working in a number of multi-disciplinary practices and in 1988 commenced his own private practice at Waverley Podiatry. He has special interest in nail and skin infections including fungal nails and plantar warts, and recently presented at the annual Cutera Laser conference in Sydney.

Chris Gardner also has vast experience in the field of biomechanics and orthotic therapy and has been an invited guest tutor and lecturer for the last 18 years to final year podiatry students at La Trobe University. He has also lectured at both Victorian and National Podiatry Conferences and been an invited speaker to workshops in Japan.

Chris Gardner is a trained Laser Nail Therapist.


Yvonne Gardner

Yvonne is a Division 1 Registered Nurse with over 25 years experience. She has a post graduate qualification as a Diabetes Educator and is a trained Laser Nail Therapist. Yvonne is also a trainer with Cutera and runs instructional workshops throughout Australia for Practitioners introducing the Genesis Plus laser.

Together they created  Laser Nail Solutions to provide a safe and effective treatment for fungal nails that is free from the downside and risks associated with topical and oral treatment options.


Leon Alvis

Leon joined the team at Waverley Podiatry Centre after graduating with honours from the Queensland University of Technology’s Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) programme. His work experience has included local and overseas private practice as well as hospital settings. Leon has a special interest in foot-related wound-care management, musculoskeletal injury management and orthotic therapy. He also has considerable experience in all aspects of podiatric laser therapy and is a trained in laser therapy. Leon is fluent in Mandarin understands Cantonese and enjoys gym activities, jogging and playing the piano.

Daniel McManus

Daniel completed his undergraduate podiatry degree in 2005 and has since attained endorsement for the prescription of scheduled medicines. Daniel is also a trained Laser Technician treating fungal nails, plantar warts and some soft tissue pathologies. He has a special interest in skin pathology, gait analysis and biomechanics, current research and its clinical implications. Daniel is local to Essendon and enjoys running and football.

Bernard Comerford

Bernard completed his undergraduate Podiatry degree in 1984. After travelling overseas for 12 months he established his multi-disciplinary practice in Essendon in 1986. Further studies were undertaken with Bernard completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Podiatry in 1994 and his Masters in Podiatry in 2003. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, an external Clinical Studies Supervisor at both LaTrobe and Charles Sturt Universities and an Endorsed Podiatric Prescriber in Victoria.With a keen interest in skin and nail infections, Bernard undertook intensive training with Cutera Laser and commenced with Laser Nail Solutions in April 2013 at his Essendon practice.

Monique Harding

Monique completed her Bachelor of Podiatry in 2009 at The University of South Australia. She has since gained a variety of clinical experience and skills working within all aspects of podiatry, including a high risk public hospital, community health care centre and private practice. Monique moved to Melbourne in 2013 to be with her partner, where she joined the team at Waverley Podiatry Centre. Monique is a trained laser technician and has a fond interest in lower limb biomechanics, diabetes foot assessments and education. She is committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and overall wellbeing, while exploring the sites of Melbourne.
